Daily meditation reduces stress.

Daily meditation is extremely useful for people who suffer from stress, feel depressed or unhappy, get influenced by the emotions of others and for many other reasons related to well-being.
Meditating daily is much more impactful than random meditation, so if you want to feel the effects of meditation you should definitely consider meditating every day.
Here are some of the most important benefits of daily mediation.
1.Daily meditation reduces stress. You will notice that if you meditate every day, your stress levels will go down. If you meditate daily for a couple of months, you may not get stressed at all, or slightly stressed. Everyday meditation makes you see things differently. What seemed very important before no longer seems so. What you considered stressful in the past no longer appears so. This is because when you meditate, you understand that you well-being is more important than material things or events, so you naturally stop worrying about them.
2.Meditation gives you more energy. Everyday meditation gives you access to an abundant energy from the source. When you meditate every day, you learn to open your crown chakra to allow the source energy to get into your whole body. This energy cleanses your nerves and gives you more power. When you make daily meditation into a habit, you will no longer suffer from being drained in the middle of the day or feeling tired after little work.
3.Everyday meditation reduces mood swings. The source energy that you get whilst meditating cleanses your nerve system and removes mental blockages. You come into a closer contact with your emotions and learn to recognise destructive emotions. When you recognise such emotions, you naturally avoid them because you know how much harm they cause. Your mood becomes more stable and you feel centred most of the time. You no longer lose control when something unexpected happens.
4.Daily meditation rejuvenates your body. When you meditate daily you get plenty of energy from the source. This energy raises your mood and makes your body look younger. It’s not unusual to hear compliments from others about how healthy you look when you meditate every day.
5.Everyday meditation helps you sleep better. If you are unable to sleep well, you should consider daily meditation. When you meditate daily your body learns to completely relax and you no longer suffer from too many thoughts in your head. This helps you to fall asleep much easier as well as have a deeper sleep.
6.Daily meditation raises you to a higher awareness level. If you are often depressed, cannot control your emotions or are easily influenced by the moods of other people, it means your awareness level is low. You can raise your awareness level by doing daily meditation. Once you are on a higher awareness level, you will feel more peaceful, centred and happy. What used to worry you or scare you will no longer have such an impact on you. In general, higher awareness level will improve your life in many ways.
7.Daily meditation increases your focus. If you have a short attention span and find it difficult to focus on things for more than a couple of minutes, meditation will help you extend your focus. When you meditate, you clear your head from thoughts and you stay in the same position for 15-30 minutes or more. This alone improves your focus because you engage in one activity for an extended period of time.
8.Everyday meditation makes you more patient. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, when you meditate you tend to stay in the same position for fifteen or more minutes. This not only improves your focus, but also makes you a more patient person. After a couple of weeks of daily meditation you will notice that your patience is increasing. You will no longer get frustrated when stuck in traffic jams or queueing in a post office.
9.Everyday meditation helps you understand your oneness with everything in this world. A great deal of misery in our society is caused by people not feeling the oneness of it all. When you meditate, however, you will start understanding that everything in this world is connected. You, me, plants, cars, houses, earth – everything – is only energy with different densities. Once you get to this understanding, you will become a happier person and you will judge others less.
10.Meditation reduces headaches and muscle pains. I used to suffer from headaches every day until I decided to try meditation. Meditation was the only cure that eliminated my bad headaches. This could be the case because headaches are caused by too many thoughts held at once, so when you no longer think about anything (during meditation), headaches disappear. Meditation can also reduce or completely eliminate muscle pains because during meditation muscles relax and are healed by the source energy.
Conclusion
It’s definitely worth spending 15-30 minutes a day to do meditation because of the many benefits that daily meditation brings. Whether you suffer from physical or emotional pains, get drained easily or get stressed, every day meditation will help you improve your well-being to a great degree.

Quantum Mind Power

In this article I review three mind power audio programs that can be used for different purposes.
Some programs focus on raising your awareness, improving your financial situation or making you a more positive person.
It’s important therefore to choose the program that will give you the most benefits.
Quantum Mind Power
Quantum Mind Power is a brainwave entertainment program that uses the new Morry method which claims to work much better than any other mind power program. Although no in-depth research has been done, this new method received very positive reviews from those who used it.
Quantum Mind Power audio program as well as other audio programs as such use certain sounds and rhythms to change your vibration. This method works much faster than any natural ways of raising vibration, however you miss out on the experience of achieving goals without the outside help.
This technology can manipulate your brain in a way that you can change your entire personality, however that would require regular multiple audio sessions. Quantum Mind Power audio program focuses mainly on reducing stress, stopping procrastination, raising self-confidence and motivating you to achieve goals.
Quantum Mind Power uses the same technology as other mind power audio programs, however each program focuses on different objectives. So if you want to reduce stress or anxiety, achieve goals or raise your awareness, this program might be for you.
Mind Your Intellect
This program consists of a book and two CDs. Both book and CDs are intended to raise your awareness level and develop your intellect. It will teach you to relax and gain better understanding of your body and mind. After listening to the CDs you will be better equipped to remember and learn new information, more efficiently accomplish tasks and meditate.
The sales page of the Mind Your Intellect program offers a couple of bonuses but two of them are available online for free, so if you are interested in bonuses more than in the course, I advise you to not waste your money. However the course itself is a good one and it does deliver if you regularly listen to the CDs and read the book.
The mind power audio program “Mind Your Intellect” was created in India by a company specialising in realizing the mind power.

Brainsync
Brainsync offers many programs ranging from memory improvement to weight loss. It’s suitable for people with specific issues, such as those who want to learn how to meditate, be more creative or heal their bodies.
I’ve tried their audio programs and they worked okay. Some people, however, have mixed opinions about their programs but most opinions are very positive. I found that their relaxation audio program produced best results, however I didn’t try all of their audio programs.
Brainsync, as well as previously mentioned mind power audio programs, use brainwave entertainment technology to raise your vibration in a way that would achieve certain objectives. The goals of such programs can be to help you sleep better, reduce stress or improve your memory. So with this in mind there is not much difference between any of the three mentioned mind power audio programs. All of them claim that they are the best and most effective, however that could not be the case as each and every one of them uses the same technology.
Conclusion
All these three programs produce good results if used regularly. The most important thing is to use these programs the way it’s advised. If used properly, they will raise your vibration and help you achieve your goals.
I need to mention that the brainwave entertainment technology that is used today is a relatively new way to induce altered states and achieve certain goals. Because this technology is new, the consequences of its use cannot be entirely predicted, however recent research does not indicate any serious problems with this technology (there were some unpleasant consequences but only in a few cases).
In general, mind power audio programs are a lazy way to achieve your goals. They work if used regularly but you miss out on the learning experience of achieving goals by other means, such as visualisation, intention or persistence.

I have been listening to a visualisation self hypnosis CD every single day for 33 days now. In this article I am going to describe my experiences with such hypnosis.
As you may know I have reviewed one of Bob Proctor’s programs before(6 Minutes To Success program), and this visualisation CD that I am now using is also produced by him.
This self-hypnosis is around 25 minutes long. During the first part I have to completely relax, then I have to visualise my goal and then for the last five minutes I have to wake myself up.
The first days I performed such self hypnosis my body energy would react very well to what was being said on the CD. For example, if I am told that the relaxing energy is flowing through my body, I could actually feel that. It was a great sensation and it completely relaxed me.
Then, maybe 10 days into this self hypnosis, my body started to react negatively. I knew that this was going to happen because I was visualising a big goal. When you continuously try to see in your mind’s eye some big goal, that contradicts with your current conditioning and it sets up a very uncomfortable vibration in you.
Actually that’s why many people quit when they decide to pursue some big goal in their lives. They suddenly start feeling doubtful and fearful about this goal. This happens to everyone, and it is an indicator that your old conditioning is trying to fight the new conditioning.
If you become scared and back away, then your old conditioning wins. But if you continue to move in the direction of the big goal, your old conditioning becomes increasingly weaker until the new conditioning is the only one occupying your subconscious mind.
So although the feeling that I currently have is not the best one, I know why this is so and I will keep visualising. After around 15 days of such self-hypnosis visualisation, I’ve started feeling more comfortable with this new vibration. Even till now, throughout the day, I get thoughts about the rewards that are waiting for me once I achieve the goal. That makes me even more motivated to take action to get this goal.
I also sometimes get all kinds of images streaming through my mind during self hypnosis. That especially happened in the first days of me starting this activity. This is probably because I am very relaxed, on the brink of sleeping. The images I get are very much like the ones I experience during meditation, but these ones come without any stream of voices.
Most of the times when I completely relax during such visualisation I feel quite a strong pressure in my head. This very much reminds me of my meditation experiences.
I am also witnessing that my conditioning is changing by the choices I make and the ways I express myself. I sometimes catch myself in the middle of the conversation with someone saying things that do not sound like me. Even my friends were surprised by some things I say. I am really happy about that, because it shows that the visualisation during self hypnosis really affects me.
When my goal is achieved I will be able to tell you a bit more about my experiences, but for now I can only say that I feel that I’m moving fast to where I want to go. I can sense the momentum I am building.
I have known for quite a while that the best way to visualise your desires is when you are completely relaxed. And you cannot be more relaxed than by being in a hypnotic state!
P.S. I know that my inbox is still full of unanswered emails from some of you, but I am very busy with my new project so I will get back to all of you as soon as I have some spare time!

Facebook Programming: Facebook API

Facebook Application Programming Step by step tutorial - part 3. In the previous post, you have tried to create a simple Facebook application. You also use Facebook API. API is a means to communicate between programs. For example, in the previous exercise, you create a program to display a list of friends on Facebook. You can make these programs because of the API. You use Facebook API to display data from Facebook servers.
Currently, the API is the trend in the programming world. Not only are making Facebook API. Google, Amazon, Yahoo, and others also provide an API. With this API, you can create applications by using the features or existing data on their servers.

Calling API

In this post, we will discuss further the API that is on Facebook. We will start from analyzing the program code that we wrote earlier. We'll see, where we use the Facebook API.
01
02
03// Get these from http://developers.facebook.com
04$api_key = '2c73ae8529134aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa';
05$secret  = '3c041a7cbd797aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa';
06
07include_once './facebook-platform/php/facebook.php';
08
09$facebook = new Facebook($api_key, $secret);
10$user = $facebook->require_login();
11
12?>
13

Yummie Tester

14Hello '' useyou='false' possessive='true' />!
15Your id : echo $user; ?>.
16
17You have several friends:
18
19$friends = $facebook->api_client->friends_get();
20?>
21
22
    23
    24foreach($friends as $friend){
    25    echo "

  • ";
    26}
    27?>
    28
    Where do you call the Facebook API?
    This is the Object Oriented Programming (OOP). If you do not know about OOP in PHP, I recommend you read this post first. Let more deep understanding of the API. However, if you remain determined to continue to learn Facebook programming is also fine. With a little squeeze your brain, you will come to understand what it is OOP.
    Back again to the code above. At the beginning of the line, you are prompted to insert the API Key and secret codes. This kind of entering a username and password database.
    1$api_key = '2c73ae8529134aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa';
    2$secret  = '3c041a7cbd7aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa';
    next, we call Facebook client library:
    1include_once './facebook-platform/php/facebook.php';
    On the client library, there is a class code to access Facebook. You must call and initialize a Facebook class.
    1$facebook = new Facebook($api_key, $secret);
    Next, do check whether the user is already logged or not. If have login, you'll get the ID of the user. User ID is inserted into the variable $ user.
    1$user = $facebook->require_login();
    Well, pay attention to the next line:
    1$friends = $facebook->api_client->friends_get();
    This is where you begin to use the Facebook API. You call the method api_client(). Above, you call the Facebook API is called: friends.get. The results of the use of these APIs is a list of ID's friends are accommodated in the variable named $friends. Next you want to display in the browser with the code:
    1foreach($friends as $friend){
    2    echo "

  • ";
    3}
    Maybe you're wondering, his name is friends.get, but why written friends_get()? Yes, for the PHP programming standards, Point (dot) replaced with underscores. Here's example:
    • Events.get written events_get()
    • Friends.get written friends_get()
    • Comments.get written comments_get()

    Saturday, March 09, 2013 When companies like NIIT Technologies Ltd adopt open source technologies, they take the technology to the next level with their innovation and development, creating a trend of sorts in this domain. NIIT Technologies works on open source projects, contributes to the community and hires open source professionals for its projects. If given a choice, the company chooses open source technologies over proprietary solutions because it gets adequate talent and is ready to train engineers in relevant technologies, if required. Diksha P Gupta from EFYTimes spoke to Arvind Mehrotra, president, APAC, India & Middle East, NIIT Technologies, about the scope for open source professionals at NIIT Tech and what the company looks for. Excerpts:

    Open source jobs, Open source professionals, NIIT Technologies, NIIT, Jobs at NIIT, Arvind Mehrotra

    Do you feel India is rich enough in open source talent and do you get the kind of trained manpower you want for NIIT Tech?

    There is cutting-edge work constantly happening in open source. So, today if I were to look at it, yes, there is sufficient talent available. As to whether there is an enthusiastic workforce for open source in particular, is an open question. I think it’s a 50:50 kind of ratio. People take IT as a career option, whereas open source requires one to play the role of a continuous evangelist on the technology front. People opting for IT as a career are selecting the industry, are focusing on certain business processes and certain types of applications to further their roles and careers. So, if you talk about the availability of a workforce, yes, it is available but has to be groomed correctly. A lot of those qualified have the aptitude and the attitude to be evangelists for open source. But open source is a culture where people will make mistakes. It requires openness to download applications, work on them and contribute back; whereas, in a formal organisation, we are worried about the legal implications of copying a piece of code and embedding it into work that we are contracted to deliver to our customer. So we have formal barriers there. We cannot allow that because we will carry those risks. We do not want someone else later claiming ownership of the code our engineers say that they have created. There are legal and contractual implications that prevent businesses from inducting open source applications easily.

    You said people can become open source evangelists if you train them right. Do you train people when they come on board at NIIT Tech?

    Yes we do. NIIT Tech has made an open source commitment. Before the cloud was launched, we used to make ‘Build My Application’ (BMA). It was a framework for rapid application development. We did market it. When we realised that people were finding it difficult to retain the code and maintain it because it was being generated by a RAD equivalent tool, we allowed it to go to the open source community so that others could continue to use it and build their own applications with that. So that has been our contribution, and that momentum and spirit continues to fuel the organisation to make more such contributions.

    As far as training the professionals is concerned, we have a schedule calendar and a huge library of training material available for our employees. The training programs are available in both electronic media and as premise-based training. Our technology innovation centre constantly generates ideas of projects and programmes that the community works on. The centre runs an annual session, during which people who have worked on open source or proprietary technologies come and showcase their capabilities. For us, open source is also a business issue as there is immense demand in this sector. There is a centre of competence that drives it. But it trains only those who will work within the organisation. So, if the demand for a particular skill set is not very large, we do not train a huge workforce just for the sake of giving them exposure to open source. Ultimately, employees are becoming more discerning. They want to know why they are getting trained and whether the training will benefit their career further or fulfil any personal objectives. Only then will they agree to get trained on a subject.

    So there are employees who are eager to get trained on open source technologies these days?

    Yes, very much. And that depends a lot on the broad area that a professional has chosen to build a career in -- whether it’s the infrastructure, applications or the database side. Most of the database guys these days want to understand technologies like MySQL, DB2, etc. Employees also choose what they believe their specialisation should be.

    Do you think there is enough training being provided across the country on open source technologies?

    In my view, there is a lot of noise about this. There are a lot of forums where such discussions take place. But sometimes, one believes that open source has become not the mainstay but the ‘cheap option’. Whereas it should be the other way round. Open source should not be the cheap option but the technology option. So today if people are getting driven to open source for the commercial objective of avoiding licensing costs, they tend to acquire applications that may not suit them -- making the wrong choices on open source. Businesses today, unfortunately, have poor communication with IT professionals, and the latter often do not make the right assessment of what is required.

    If you select an open source technology, you have to know: (a) who is backing that open source software; (b) if there are support issues, who will solve that problem, etc. So in short, one has to not only look at the availability, but also the maintainability and scalability of the applications developed on open source, rather than just the cost factor. If such decisions are taken, I am sure open source has more headroom in India than anywhere else.

    If businesses are ready to adopt open source technology, does that mean that the demand for open source professionals has been increasing in India of late?

    I do not have hard statistics to say that, but if I were to look at the government projects that we are working on, there is very strong demand. The NIC, Government of India and DeitY are formally identifying applications that should go to open source. But they are also requesting options from open source and proprietary applications simultaneously in many of their tenders. So, the final choice remains with the vendors and they have to decide what to select. If the penalties are linked to the availability of the application, warranties, support, and given the fact that open source technologies do not allow longevity, OEMs and systems integrators prefer to go for proprietary technologies because they can back these with something. But yes, one cannot deny that the government is creating demand. We as a company do submit Requests For Proposals (RFPs) to the government. I think India has a fairly good demand for open source professionals and it will continue to grow because companies would want to see IT offerings for a lower cost.

    What are the challenges involved with open source technologies vs proprietary technologies?

    There are two challenges involved if you talk of open source technologies vs proprietary technologies. The proprietary technology providers have established huge brands and open source has a brand issue. So there is a recollection issue with open source technology. If an open source project does not have the backing of an OEM but has a forum, a technology guy will be comfortable in that kind of an environment while a business guy may not be as comfortable because he does not get any assurance. So the open source forums in India will have to give a certain set of assurances or identify a list of applications or application stacks that can be rated. Assessments of the applications are required for the business people to understand what choices they are making.

    What are the skill sets that you look for in engineers when you hire them for open source projects?

    The centre of competence at NIIT Tech has defined the toolsets that we work on. But what we look for while selecting an engineer depends on the needs of the projects. If we are using open source testing frameworks for a project, we would want to take on professionals who have some experience in those tools. But if we are hiring testers in general, their engineering calibre is the biggest criteria for selecting them. Freshers are hired based on their basic engineering skills and their understanding of technology.

    Does NIIT Tech contribute to open source projects as well?

    NIIT Tech is definitely involved in making contributions to several open source projects. Our centre of competence and our technology innovation centre interact with the open source community in a formal way. Apart from that, our developers are involved with various community initiatives, which makes us even closer to the community.
